Rev Spivey will focus on the feminine aspect as he pays tribute to mothers and motherhood this morning. Rev Spivey has dual masters’ degrees  in Clinical Social Work and Theology. He serves Hospice of Volusia-Flagler as a spiritual Care counselor. POTLUCK  SUNDAY

Circle Suppers

We are in process of renewing the monthly Circle Supper.  Julie Symonds has graciously agreed to take on the organization of this fun monthly event.  Usually held on the first Saturday of each month, hosts are asked to provide their home and a main course, those attending bring side dishes to compliment the meal.  Julie will be asking for hosts/hostesses, so open your homes to this fun event.

 

Great Decisions

Continues this month... Hosted by Alice Sulzer, (sulzer4444@aol.com) this 8 week series of discussions of global interest is held on Thursday evenings, beginning at 7pm, at UUUS.

 

Investment Club

The purpose of this group is to examine the current and future trends in the stock, bond, currency and other financial markets.  The resulting information is intended to assist participants in maximizing the return from their own investment portfolio.  Meetings are usually held at 12 noon, following the service, on the first Sunday of each month.  You are invited to join us!  For further information, please contact Bill Long via email at billlong5@yahoo.com

 

Lunch Bunch

The Lunch Bunch meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month, so the May Lunch will be on Wednesday, May 21st.  At press time, Eileen was waiting to confirm the speaker, but it is always interesting.  Come make a sandwich and enjoy the warm sense of community!  Join them at noon at the Clubhouse at Winter Park Towers, Club 24, 1824 Summerfield Road. professor of political Science at U.C.F.
She has taught for 19 years.  Her areas of professional interest include political participation and communication, particularly with regard to minority integration in electoral politics.  She is the recipient of 8 teaching awards, and one award each for service and faculty leadership.  She has received research grants from the Hadassah-Brandeis Institute for the Study of Gender and Judaism, the U.S. Elections Assistance Commission, and the Florida-Israel Institute, among others.    
 
Please bring a bottle of wine, a soft drink or finger food.
personal observation: At the March meeting I heard  a number of comments about how some wished for a soft drink . I always state that the members can bring  soft drinks
